I would prefer if you added more to your response. For instance, you could elaborate on why you think it is an awesome classic.

Bravo had a special a while back about the 100 Scariest Movies of All Time and Jaws was #1. While it is a good suspenseful movie, I have never found it very scary. I guess it's because it would be so easy to avoid a shark. Just don't go into the water. When sharks start breaking into houses and eating people in their beds at night, then I'll get scared.

Here's a link to their list. (OK, really it's the 100 Scariest Movie Moments. I guess I remember it wrong. But still.)

Charlie....and...the Choco Factory? Anyways I remember watchin this last year. I got from about 45 down. I flipped out when jaws got number 1! At least make it Ben Gardener's head scene! But I loved watchin it till 1:00 a.m it was so scary watchin some scary movie parts (Shining ((love it)) Physco, Silence of the Lambs) But yes, Jaws is my all time favorite movie. Ben's head scene freaks me out every time in an enjoying thrill, not crying for death thrill.

I haven't seen Jaws in so long that I can't remember much of it. One of the only scenes I can remember, besides the beginning sequence and the scene were they talk about their scars, is the one where the guy goes underwater and sees something scary. (I know it is vague, but I remember something happened underwater, but can't remember what it was).

Yeah, you are thinkin about the head part. They find the carshed and bloody fisherman's boat and he swims down in the eerie and claustrophobic water and he has a flashlight, and he sees a hole in the boat oh about the size of a basketball in the hull. He sees a tooth (shark, BTW) embedded in the lower part of the hole, and he picks it up and shines his light on it,a nd realizes it was a great white's tooth...and he swims closer to the hole, and the camera is right about 10 in. from his face, and you can only see the hole, and jhis head. He peers the light in the hole, and out of nowhere a head is shone into the light and it is a fisherman's head, white and mily and pinched up and has one eye gone and it is only 10 in from it (the camera) and it is sooo scary! *shivers*

(shrug) I remember watching Poltergeist at night. That was really freaky. I remember being scared of clown dolls underneath my bed trying to grab my ankle that night.
