I liked the theme of isolation and how the parents were totally oblivious. Plus the scuba scene is hilarious. I mean, I don't like the subject matter too much and it was a little far-fetched, but overall I recommend watching it.

The whole scene is silent. You see it from Ben's point of view in the scuba gear. All you can hear is him breathing. You can tell he doesn't want to be in the suit. (His parents make him) The point of view goes from looking at the water, back to the parents edging him on, to the friends and family at the party watching him... I can't explain. It is funny though.

What's it got to do with 'The Graduate' though?

It is IN the Graduate. The whole theme of the Graduate is isolation and lack of communication. The parents don't communicate with Ben which leads to trouble later on.

My parents seem to never be able to communicate with me.

Yeah. My parents don't understand these forums. They keep preventing me from going on them.

Well, tell them about it, and then they might understand it more. My parents were very proud of me possessing my own site.

Nah, they don't approve of me talking with other people online. For all I know, you could be a stalker! Edit: You aren't, are you? Are you who I think you are?

Quote Satine, Moulin Rouge: "Please don't start that again."

Yeah. Christian and Satine in Moulin Rouge keep arguing about their relationship throughout the whole film.
