We had to watch this film in class and I was just thinking about how creepy it is. Anyone else seen it?

I think I've seen the beginning of it and some of the middle but not nearly the scary parts.

I really like this one shot when the young man takes up his mom and puts her in the basement. The camera starts low and then comes up high above them. It is really neat. The scene where they go into the office is kind of creepy too. (All the stuffed birds and all).

I love Psycho, but it's been years since I've actually seen it; though I've recently been wanting to see it again.
Side note; we were talking about Alfred Hitchcock in my Film Studies class yesterday. I was really hoping that we'd watch Psycho, but we just looked at a scene from it. We did watch Notorious which is another good Hitchcock movie. [/off topic-ness]

I went to BTC; which is a televisiona and film course.
Late last year I went to a course called 'Beyond The Camera' or BTC as they call it for short. It was a very interesting course, and I learnt all about what goes on in a TV studio. We all got to create mini shows, NZ Idol and Whose Line Is It Anyway. I met a lot of people who were really like me at BTC. Outgoing and always willing to try new things. Unlike my friends at school that is. I really enjoyed the course. The theme of BTC was the beach, and on the Wednesday various people put entries in to see what the name of the show would be called. I placed in the name Wipe Out, and they chose that as the name of the show. On the Saturday, any realtives of our family could come and watch the show. My brother and sister live in Christchurch, so they came to see me perform in the studio, and so did my mum, who came up from Timaru especially just to come and see it. My favourite was doing the cameras. I had to wear gigantic headphones which were called coms, and through these we had to listen to the director and what he/she had to say. The most strenuous job to do, would have to be the editing of the programmes that the student produced. It took such a long time, because every scene has to be analysed and taken into consideration whether to be taken out or not. Floor Managing is also another challenging job. You have to be very patient, and a very good leader to be one. I had an attempt at this, and found out that it wasn't so bad after all. All the Floor Manager has to do, is make sure that everyone in the Studio and the OB (Outside Broadcast) is OK. This can often take a long time, because the Graphics people take such a long time to get it ready. You have to be really talentd at computer programs to do the Graphics. There is a special way that you do it, of which that I have not yet achieved. This was a once in a life time opportunity, and I'm really glad that I did when the opportunity passed me by.
